I've just recieved an incredible amount of support from the community here and I'm really thankful to everyone. I know I've had an account for over a month now (and I've been lurking on this site since I was 13), but everything still feels pretty new, huah huah. Thanks for all of your patience and for taking the time out of your day to help me with things.

I hope that this finds everyone well! I'm back and making things again. I'll be posting 4-colour palette exercises on my thread more regularly while working on some personal projects as well! I'll upload a compilation of every >10 exercises to my main gallery, so keep an eye out for that!

(on a side note: I've been into drawing ridiculous dessert-themed people or whatever so feel free to send me some suggestions for desserts/sweets/whatever. also any cool puns/names for them too that'd be neato)

I dunno how serious these journal entries should be taken, so sorry in advance for spamming your feed. (I've just gleaned that they can be taken less intensely than forum posts, but I dunno if that assumption is correct, huah huah.)

I'm working on a compilation sheet with various sizes of pixels, sprites, tiles, etc. to showcase my range of ability. I've mostly been uploading larger scale works, but it'd be nice to have a wider breadth on here I think. If anyone has any suggestions or references to what I should have on there, feel free to let me know!

This is off-topic a little bit, but I'll try my best to upload some more original stuff on here too. My last couple of posts have been fan art. Not that there's anything wrong with fan art, I definitely don't regret making them, just it's a little uncomfortable for me. Being new on the site, I honestly don't know if people like my work because it's actually good or because they like the characters I'm drawing, you know? The last couple of pieces were for friends, but it's also really easy to start making fan art for the attention it gets, which should never be anyone's reason to make any kind of art. Not to mention that those motives are disrespectful to the original creator.

Anyway,,,,,, It's been a great week here so far on newgrounds! I've met a handful of really helpful people and even though I haven't contributed that much yet, I already feel like I'm a part of the community here, which is really nice. Thank you so much for all of your support.

I'm branching out to other social media things so I can communicate with people better! Feel free to add me or anything like that.

I made a twitter to document my pixel processes and to voice some questions that I might have from time-to-time about newgrounds (that I'm too scared to venture onto the forums to ask). If you like bad puns, WIPs, or weird questions on your feed, feel free to add me!

I really would love to reach out and collaborate with other people, but I know that my lack of professional experience would make me way more of a hindrance than an asset. For now, I want to start off just meeting new people on here. By engaging with the community, I hope to learn more about other people's creative processes and develop my own discipline.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, I really really hate pulling the, "i'm new here" shtick, but mane oh mane it's hitting me pretty hard, haha. I want to meet new people on here, but I'm not sure how to navigate the forums. I know the titles of the forums are pretty self-explanatory, but I feel pretty weird posting a topic that's like, "hEY i'M neW let'S all be frieNds pleaSe freiNd me". There are also some other site ettiquette things that I'm weirdly paranoid about, but I'll probably figure it out eventually. probably.

I still have a lot to learn, huah huah. A big reason why I joined newgrounds was to get more involved with online art communities.
